01 About PinPoint ProjX
Building Tasmania’s future
PinPoint ProjX is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with a broad network of technical, management, infrastructure, event management, political, media, and stakeholder engagement experts. We bring together these elements to ensure each project can rely on the very best of advice and capability.
We seek to accelerate Tasmania’s economic growth through new infrastructure and energy.
02 Renewable Energy
Capitalising on Tasmania’s renewable energy advantage
Tasmania has a natural advantage when it comes to renewable energy with extensive hydro electricity generation across the State. Recently, feasibility studies have commenced for large scale offshore wind and expansion of onshore wind energy generation. The Tasmanian Government has been proactive in identifying the implementation of a Renewable Energy Services Hub (RESH) at the port of Bell Bay in the North-East of Tasmania to evolve the local supply chain.
This is viewed as critical to ensure local companies can transition to support the renewable energy sector and that they have the support and infrastructure around them to identify opportunities associated with large scale renewable energy projects.
PinPoint ProjX has identified several opportunities to accelerate Tasmania’s transition to further renewable energy generation and has taken up the challenge to provide solutions in order to create flexible infrastructure, a skilled workforce and a pipeline of potential investors who understand the Tasmanian opportunity.
In addition, creating a relevant and sustainable local supply chain is critical for international investors and project developers when they assess Tasmanian renewable energy projects. Opportunities also include the use of existing infrastructure to conduct complementary work at different stages of the transition from traditional to new energy sources.
Bell Bay is a deepwater port with direct access to Bass Strait and less than 30 miles from Tasmania’s second largest city, Launceston, where the University of Tasmania has a campus, the Australian Maritime College is located, and many maritime businesses operate from. It is 150 miles to the Tasmanian capital, Hobart.
Sporting & Event Infrastructure
PinPoint ProjX supports the development of a new stadium at Macquarie Point and all the economic, social and intergenerational benefits it will bring. Our priority is to ensure a strong Tasmanian business presence during construction and when operational.
Our work on the AFL High Performance Centre at Kingston in Hobart and Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub in Launceston is part our determination to enrich the lives of all Tasmanians.
